Nominees for provincial medical consultants
Dr. Joanna Chmielewska-Walczak from the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery UCC MUW has been appointed to serve as a provincial consultant in neurology.
The appointment letters for the next five-year term were received by:
- Dr. Aleksandra Paz from the Department of Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology MUW, to serve as provincial consultant in clinical pharmacology;
- Małgorzata Mizerska-Wasiak, MD, PhD, from the Department of Pediatric Nephrology and Pediatrics UCC MUW to serve as provincial consultant in pediatric nephrology;
- Dr. Piotr Palczewski from the Department of Clinical Radiology UCC MUW to serve as provincial consultant in radiology and diagnostic imaging.
Congratulations from the vice governor
In total, the governor nominated seven new consultants and handed over ten acts extending their terms of office. - You will serve the medical community and residents in our province with your experience - said Vice Governor of the Mazovian Province Sylwester Dąbrowski. - This is certainly hard work requiring great dedication. I am confident that you will be able to do it - the deputy governor added.

The tasks of consultants
Among the tasks of the consultants is to conduct inspections of medical entities in terms of the quality of services and conducted professional education and training. The role of consultants is also to prepare information on resources and staffing needs in their specialties.
