"More than a heart attack" – cardiology conference at MUW

was the 8th edition of this student-organized event. Its significance grows every year. A total of 700 participants registered this time. The topics of discussions included modern methods of diagnosis and therapy in cardiology.

The conference was held on March 7, 2026 in the main lecture hall of the MUW Didactic Center. Students, physicians and people interested in cardiology from many centers throughout Poland attended the event.

What was on the agenda

The program of this year's edition included issues related to heart failure, modern methods of diagnosis and treatment in cardiology, chronic coronary syndromes, as well as an extremely important aspect of conducting difficult conversations with the patient and the family. The participants had the opportunity to attend lectures by renowned experts representing numerous academic and clinical centers in Poland.

A series of workshops was an integral part of the event, thanks to which it was possible to develop clinical skills and deepen knowledge in an interactive format.

About 700 participants from all over Poland registered for this year's edition, which confirms the growing significance of this event in the medical community.

Rafał Krenke, the Rector of the MUW embraced the patronage of the conference. The conference was organized by the Student Research Club at the First Chair and Department of Cardiology and the Student Research Club at the Department of Internal Medicine and Cardiology with the support of Prof. Marcin Grabowski, the Head of the First Chair and Department of Cardiology, and Dr Bartosz Krzowski, also from the First Chair and Department of Cardiology.
