The International Educational Fair is an event supporting primary and secondary school students in choosing their educational paths. This year's edition was held on 13 and 14 March at the Expo XXI and attracted crowds of students, parents and teachers. Traditionally, our university participated in the event. We talked to many young people dreaming of medical studies, advising on what to do to make those dreams come true.
For two days, representatives of the Office for Admissions and Teaching Affairs provided the most important information about our fields of study and recruitment rules. Most questions were asked about minimum score requirements, which high school graduation exam subjects were considered in the admissions process, about the possibility of studying more than one major at the same time, about how the admissions process looked like step by step.
Students visiting our stand could also talk to our students – Maria, Marta and Wiktoria, who shared their experiences on classes, exams, pace and amount of learning. Those were very valuable tips for high school students that helped them better understand the practical aspects of university life.
Those interested in studying at the MUW also had the opportunity to listen to a presentation about the university. On the first day, it was delivered by Longin Niemczyk, MD PhD, the Secretary of the University Admissions Board, who presented the rules of recruitment in a nutshell. On the second day, the presentation, or rather the discussion with the interested fair participants, was led by Anna Kupczak and Aleksandra Jasiniewska from the Student Government. They explained why it was worth choosing the MUW, what everyday life at the university looked like and what opportunities our students had to develop their passions and interests.
We would like to thank all participants of the fair for their numerous visits to our stand. We hope that we have been able to help you choose a major.
