"Line A(nesthesia): next station... intensive therapy" – student conference at WUM

It was the 9th edition of the Student Scientific Conference organized by the "TIVA" Anesthesiological and Intensive Care Nursing Student Club. The event was attended by students, professionals and enthusiasts of medicine from all over Poland. They met to exchange knowledge and experience related to anesthesiology and intensive care.

The conference was divided into two days. The first day was held in the form of a lecture session. The ceremonial opening of the conference was made by Dr  Dariusz Kosson – one of the mentors of the "TIVA" Club, who also gave a lecture on "Denervation of large joints". Then, the participants had the opportunity to listen to numerous inspiring and substantive presentations prepared by invited guests. The lectures were given by Dr Bartosz Sadownik, Dr Lena Serafin, Dr Natalia Sak-Dankosky, Marcel Solecki, Ewa Madej, Kajetan Gawarecki, Dr Maciej Latos, Dr Zuzanna Strząska-Kliś and the following students: Alicja Kalitka, Joanna Wardak, Havy Popiołek, Wojciech Kamiński, Julia Stańczak, and Emilia Sadowska.

The second day of the conference was practical and workshop-oriented. The organizers prepared introductory lectures, followed by thematic workshops during which the participants could develop their practical skills and gain experience. The workshops covered issues such as POCUS, emergency medicine elements, handling and use of vascular ports, as well as the principles of safe cannulation. The high interest in the practical part confirmed the importance of initiatives enabling students to combine theoretical knowledge with clinical practice. The workshops were prepared by the students of the "TIVA" Student Research Club: Wojciech Kamiński, Paula Piechowicz, Nikola Klimczak, Monika Krupa, Marta Szostek, Marlena Ostas, Maria Okoń, and Jakub Foryciarz.

The 9th edition of the conference once again proved that the event organized by the "TIVA" Student Research Club is an important point on the map of student scientific events. It was not only an opportunity to acquire new knowledge and develop professional competences, but also a space for the integration of the academic community and building relationships between students and specialists from various centers in Poland.
