Just Pharm – a meeting of students with their future employers

On October 22, the lobby of the Faculty of Pharmacy was transformed into a recruitment and networking center. It was all thanks to the second edition of the Just Pharm career fair, which gave medical analytics and pharmacy students an opportunity to explore the job market, while allowing employers to reach talented candidates even before they graduate. And there’s no shortage of such candidates at our faculty!

The Just Pharm career fair is organized by the WUM Career Office.

- Just Pharm is an event that perfectly fits the mission of the Career Office, which is to support students in consciously planning their professional paths - says Kamila Kraszewska from the Office for Quality of Education, Competence Development and Careers, the initiator and coordinator of the event.

Students eagerly took advantage of the opportunity to meet employers directly, and attendance at the fair was very high. Participants were able to ask questions about working conditions, development opportunities, and the specifics of various positions, compare employment offers from selected employers, and obtain information about internships. This was especially important for students who are about to choose a place for their six-month professional internship, which is a mandatory part of the pharmacy degree program.

Who could the students talk to?

The exhibitors included pharmacies, pharmaceutical companies, and— as a new feature of this edition—diagnostic laboratories. The following organizations were present: Cosmedica, Zico, Cefarm 36.6, Gemini, DOZ, the Regional Pharmaceutical Chamber, Alab, Diagnostyka, Klinika Bocian, the National Chamber of Laboratory Diagnosticians (KIDL), Freyr Solution, and the University of Warsaw Business Incubator. The event organizer, the WUM Career Office, also had its own stand.

- The meeting at the Faculty of Pharmacy was undoubtedly an inspiring and fruitful experience for both students and employers. We are glad that many of our students were able to make their first, yet valuable, professional contacts. We hope that future editions of the event will be equally successful - concludes Kamila Kraszewska.
