The project aimed to significantly enhance the quality of education by modernizing the university’s teaching infrastructure and equipping its departments with state-of-the-art educational tools. As part of the project, nearly 700 items of medical and teaching equipment were purchased to support the education of students in medicine and related fields. The acquired equipment includes:
- advanced medical simulators, including a laparoscopic simulator, an adult patient simulator, an infant simulator, dental simulators, and many others;
- sets of phantoms, manikins, and training devices;
- state-of-the-art ultrasound machines with educational modules that expand opportunities for ultrasound training;
- systems for studying rodent behavior, used in teaching laboratories;
- laminar flow cabinets.
The project also included renovation and modernization works designed to create modern, functional learning environments, including:
- replacement of the ventilation control systems and the Building Management System (BMS) at the Teaching Center, improving environmental conditions, safety, and operational efficiency;
- conversion of existing rooms into new classrooms and adaptation of facilities for the Department of Human Anatomy (Collegium Anatomicum), together with the necessary supporting infrastructure;
- installation of a central air-conditioning system at the WUM University Dental Center;
- modernization of student locker rooms at the hospital on Banacha Street.
The project also involved the purchase and implementation of:
- a platform supporting teaching and learning in the degree programmes supported by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (KPO) funding;
- an IT resource management system with tools for managing fixed assets and space utilization;
- a comprehensive cybersecurity solution for the detection/a platform providing comprehensive solutions for the detection, visualization, and mitigation of cyber threats and their impact across the university;
- an e-learning platform and a scanner for microscopic specimens.
As a result of the project, the Medical University of Warsaw now has a more modern, secure, and well-equipped teaching infrastructure that meets the needs of contemporary medical education. The completed investments enhance the quality of education, support the development of practical skills among students and faculty, and strengthen the university’s position as a modern academic institution educating future healthcare professionals.
