Speeches by University and Faculty Authorities
Each of you will play a unique role in the healthcare system, said Professor Dorota Olczak-Kowalczyk, Vice Rector for Human Resources and Operations. You will help people regain fitness, their ability to hear, speak, and communicate. That is truly an incredibly responsible role, one that is also deeply beautiful, she emphasized.
Professor Agnieszka Mielczarek, Dean of the Faculty of Dental Medicine, pointed out that the medical profession required continuous education.
In medicine, obtaining a diploma does not mark the end of learning. It just opens a new phase, that of constant development. We live in a world that has been changing faster than ever, so I encourage you to never stop learning, improving, asking questions and seeking answers,” said the Dean. “In health sciences, development never stops. Nelson Mandela said that education was the most powerful weapon you could use to change the world. I am certain that the Medical University of Warsaw has duly equipped you with that weapon.

On Behalf of the Graduates...
... a speech was delivered by Aleksandra Górka. She expressed her thanks to all university teachers, who not only shared their subject-matter expertise, but also taught empathy, consideration, and respect for the other person.
There is no doubt that studying here was anything but easy; we have spent hundreds of hours at hospitals, even more time poring over our books, and suffered unlimited amounts of stress before tests and exams. Sometimes we wanted to give up everything and leave for Bieszczady, she said. But the crowd gathered here today proves that we did not give up and we succeeded, which is confirmed today with the diplomas we receive.
The ceremony was completed by the performance of Joanna Haltman, a violinist, graduate of the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Kraków.
