The Golden Mermaid awards handed out!

At the end of each academic year, IFMSA-Poland Warsaw Branch organizes a unique event - the Golden Mermaid Gala, at which it recognizes individuals who have worked with energy and commitment for the organization over the past 10 months.

- The Golden Mermaid statues are a symbol not only of commitment, but also of the community spirit that invariably accompanies our activities -  emphasize IFMSA-Poland Warsaw Branch members.

The most active

  • The Golden Mermaid award was given to Natasza Banaszek for her commitment to the Standing Committee On Medical Education Program (SCOME). Honorable mentions went to: Patrick Jesiołowski, Wyven Chang, Weronika Bocianowska, Klaudia Rajchert, Natalia Wolanowska, Aleksandra Bożović, Jakub Nowakowski.
  • The Golden Mermaid was awarded to Jan Zakrzewski for his commitment to the Standing Committee on Public Health (SCOPH) program. Honorable mentions went to: Katsiaryna Palitsyna, Karolina Sałasińska, Maria Kuciak, Julia Broen, Olaf Zabłocki, Julia Zawieska, Iga Wiak.
  • The Golden Mermaid was awarded to Aleksandra Kulczyk for her commitment to the Sustainable Health and Reproductive Rights, including HIV and Aids Program (SCORA).
    Honorable mentions went to: Natalia Wolanowska, Karolina Cabaj, Kamila Kruk.
  • The Golden Mermaid was awarded to Kamila Kruk for her commitment to the Standing Committee on Human Rights and Peace Program (SCORP). Honorable mentions went to: Magdalena Pałęga, Ida Pekrul, Maria Bratoszewska, Aleksandra Ferenc, Katarzyna Banecka, Aleksandra Pyda, Oliwia Przybylska.
  • The Golden Mermaid was awarded to Marta Maksimowska, Maria Rucińska for their commitment to the Sustainable Clinical Practice Program (SCOPE).
  • The awards were also given to the outgoing board, consisting of: Maja Jabłońska, Martyna Majewska, Rafał Żuromski, Beata Lipska, Weronika Stachera, Bartłomiej Kuliś, Angelika Stokłosińska, Martyna Gawrych, Karolina Lach, Zuzanna Karczmarczyk, Anna Kułach, Bulganmaa Enebish, Weronika Caban, Julia Petelska, Kuba Komorowski-Roszkiewicz.

New management board of IFMSA-Poland Warsaw Branch

The gala is combined with another important event - the election of a new board of directors for the 2025/2026 academic year. Martyna Gawrych was elected president of the branch.
