High Position of MUW in QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025

The QS World University Rankings by Subject are annual listings of the world’s best universities, prepared according to the scientific disciplines they represent. In the latest edition, our university ranked 401–450 in the discipline of Medicine, making it the second-highest ranked institution from Poland in this category.

Medicine is one of the most popular university-level fields of study. This year, as many as 850 universities were included in the Medicine ranking, which is 130 more than in the previous year. 

Among them, only seven universities from Poland were listed. Alongside MUW were: Jagiellonian University (position 251–300), University of Warsaw (position 451–500), Medical University of Gdańsk (position 601–650), Poznań University of Medical Sciences (position 651–700), Nicolaus Copernicus University (position 701–850), and University of Warmia and Mazury (position 701–850). MUW maintained its strong second position from the 2024 ranking.

This year’s edition of the QS World University Rankings by Subject covered 55 academic disciplines across five subject areas: Arts & Humanities, Engineering & Technology, Life Sciences & Medicine, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences & Management.
