Joint initiative for children in Ghana

The representatives of MUW and the representatives of the Omenaa Foundation met to discuss preparations for a volunteer trip of MUW students to Ghana.

W Ghanie, z inicjatywy Omenaa Foundation, powstaje ośrodek Kids Haven Sports&Art Complex dla dzieci z ubogich rodzin bądź bez rodzin, będących niejednokrotnie ofiarami pracy niewolniczej.

The Kids Haven Sports & Art Complex is being built in Ghana, an initiative of the Omenaa Foundation, for children from poor or orphans, who are often victims of slave labor. The complex is to include a pediatric and psychological clinic. Its goal will be to provide comprehensive support for children: from preventive health care to sex education to physical and mental rehabilitation.

As part of their volunteer trip to Ghana, our students will engage in screening and educational activities. They will also have the opportunity to intern at the University of Ghana Medical School, allowing them to gain experience in tropical medicine and working in a resource-limited environment.

The trip is not only an expression of solidarity and community involvement, but also a chance to gain competencies that will prepare future doctors for global work.
