In addition to the Medical University of Warsaw, the event – held from May 16 to 17 – was organized by: the Warsaw University of Technology, Maria Grzegorzewska University, the Academy of Medical Applied and Holistic Sciences, and the Warsaw Technical Academy.
The opening ceremony took place at the Syrenki Stadium, where participants observed a moment of silence in memory of a murdered University of Warsaw staff member. After that, the stage lit up with performances from popular artists, including Mrozu, Zalewski, Dwa Sławy, Lordofon, Otsochodzi, Guzior, Myslovitz, Golec uOrkiestra, and Sleep Well. Varsonalia was preceded by a week of accompanying events held throughout the city of Warsaw.

At the invitation of the student organizers, representatives of the administrations of the participating universities attended the event, including members of the MUW leadership. On stage, Rector Prof. Rafał Krenke symbolically handed over the key to the University to Natalia Sapińska, a representative of the Student Government. Also present were: Prof. Agnieszka Cudnoch-Jędrzejewska, Vice-Rector for Clinical Affairs and Investments, Prof. Agnieszka Mielczarek, Dean of the Faculty of Dental Medicine, Prof. Paweł Włodarski, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Jacek Sieńko, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Filip Raciborski, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Jarosław Prugar, Deputy Chancellor for Operations.
MUW’s Student Government was out in full force, represented by: Anna Kupczak, Bartosz Rutka, Alicja Danieluk, Aleksandra Ochnik, Natalia Sapińska, Piotr Gronowski, and Magdalena Kędrak. And of course, many other MUW students took part. In total, the event brought together nearly 20,000 participants.
