15 WUM students awarded scholarships from the Minister of Health

Students of medical universities who demonstrate significant scientific achievements or outstanding sports accomplishments are awarded scholarships from the Minister of Health each year. On the newly published list of 40 scholarship recipients for the 2025/2026 academic year, the largest group, 15 students, is from WUM.

The scholarships from the Minister of Health were awarded to:

How we compare to other universities

This year, the number of scholarships awarded was reduced to 40, while the value of the award was increased to PLN 22,000. This change was introduced to recognize the most talented students, promote them within the academic community, and encourage scientific and research work in the field of medicine and healthcare.
A total of 120 applications for scholarships for the 2025/2026 academic year were submitted to the Minister. The applications were evaluated by experts from an advisory team appointed by the Minister of Health.
The laureates represented eight medical universities. In terms of the number of awardees, WUM ranked first. Six students from the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice received scholarships; five from the Medical University of Łódź; four from the Medical University of Gdańsk; four from the Wrocław Medical University; three from the Medical University of Lublin; two from the Medical University of Białystok; and one from the Poznań University of Medical Sciences.
