Prof. Bożena Werner was named the winner of the Personality of the Year 2025 poll of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship in the Science category. The official gala ceremony, during which diplomas were awarded, took place on April 22 in Warsaw.
Professor Bożena Werner, head of the Department of Pediatric Cardiology at WUM from 2003 to 2025 and national consultant in pediatric cardiology, had been nominated for publishing a textbook on modern pediatric cardiology for physicians, medical students, nurses, and physiotherapists. She received first place in the Mazowieckie Voivodeship in the Science category.
The poll is organized by the editorial teams of “Polska Metropolia Warszawska” and “Echa Dnia.” Candidates for the awards are nominated by the Editorial Board as well as readers and internet users. This is followed by a vote in which any resident of the voivodeship can participate.
