A visit from the Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education in Kiev
On December 13, a delegation from the Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education in Kiev visited Medical University of Warsaw to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation and Academic Exchange. The agreement entails the exchange of lecturers, scientists, students, doctoral students as well as, postgraduate training of residents and doctoral students. Both universities will also be able to benefit from the framework of Twinning projects and other European and international programs.
1st Skull Base Surgery Dissection Course and Conference Add to Defa
Medical University of Warsaw hosted the 1st Skull Base Surgery Dissection Course and Conference December 12-14. The international conference was held under the patronage of the Rector - Prof. Mirosław Wielgoś and the Minister of Science and Higher Education - Jarosław Gowin. The organizer was Prof. Kazimierz Niemczyk, Head of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery and President of the European Skull Base Society (ESBS).
Talks on Health, Longevity and Human Performance by U.S. Scientific Experts Dr. Mario Martinez and Dr. Daniel Stickler
Thanks to the International Institute of Longevity in Poland, Medical University of Warsaw was able to host on Thursday, Dec. 12, the founder of biocognitive science, Dr. Mario Martinez and systems-based precision performance medicine pioneer, Dr. Daniel Stickler. Accompanying our guest speakers were Ms. Joanna Bensz, Founder and CEO of International Institute of Longevity in Poland, and Dr. Daniel Sliz.
The visit of Professor Yuichi Hori's from Tokyo
An official meeting with Professor Yuichi Hori, head of the Department of Ophthalmology at Toho University Omori Medical Center, Toho University School of Medicine in Tokyo, took place on 9th of December 2019, in the headquarters of our University. Professor Hori was accompanied by representatives of Senju Pharmaceutical: Kazudo Masuda - Pharmaceutical Director of Foreign Business Division, Masashi Kosaka - Manager of Pharmaceutical Group, Akira Ahn - Executive Director, Jerzy Woszczyna - Sales and Marketing Manager and Hikaru Kuga - Deputy Pharmaceutical Director. They were greeted by prof. Lidia Rudnicka – MUW’s Vice-Rector for International Affairs, Development and Promotion.
The Medical University of Warsaw and the Warsaw University of Technology with the Innovation Pearl - Progress Award
On 10th December, during the ceremony at the Royal Castle in Warsaw, the results of the 16th edition of the Ranking of Pearls of the Polish Economy were announced. The research group from our University and the Warsaw University of Technology received the Progress Award - Innovation Pearl for the development of a manufacturing technology of an innovative bioactive dental implant.
The work of scientists from the MUW’s Department of Regenerative Medicine awarded during the 61st Congress of the ASH Annual Meeting & Exposition
PhD students Monika Cymer and Dr Mateusz Adamiak from the Department of Regenerative Medicine of our University received Abstract Achievement Award at the 61st Congress of the American Society of Hematology Annual Meeting & Exposition, which took place from 7-10 December in Orlando.
Groundbreaking ceremony for new Medical Simulation Center at Medical University of Warsaw
December 2, 2019, marks the start of the construction of Medical University of Warsaw’s new Medical Simulation Center on the Banach campus on Pawińskiego St. It is planned to be completed by mid-2022.

CLILMed Project Kick-Off meeting
Ever think of how to improve your lectures to better suit the changing classroom environment? Medical University of Warsaw is a partner of the Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership CLILMed Project that has a goal to develop educational tools that will equip teachers in the medical field to meet these new challenges. The Project’s Kick-Off event took place 26-28 November in Krakow. Project experts and coordinators from participating partner universities met for the first time to set CLILMed in motion.
