The Neonatology Clinic of the Medical University of Warsaw supports activities for newborns and their mothers in Africa

Neonatology Clinic of the Medical University of Warsaw managed by prof. Bożena Kociszewska-Najman and the ProNeo Students’ Scientific Club operating at the Clinic took patronage over Yorghas Foundation’s activities for newborns and their mothers in Africa.

Yorghas Foundation is a Polish NGO saving pregnant women, mothers and newborns from deaths caused by poverty, lack of hygiene, access to proper healthcare or education as well as from bad practices of traditional medicine in developing countries. Foundation's projects include trainings for medical staff and pregnant women, and supplying them with sterile delivery sets.
Yorghas Foundation has already implemented projects in Tanzania, Uganda and Nigeria, providing safe births for over 5,000 mothers and their newborns. The Foundation is currently preparing for the implementation of another program in Zambia.

Prof. Bożena Kociszewska-Najman actively supports the activities of the Foundation and she plans, together with the Neonatology Clinic’s team and students from ProNeo Scientific Club, joint projects to improve perinatal care and reduce infant and maternal mortality rate in Africa.
