Official visit of China Pharmaceutical University

The official delegation from the China Pharmaceutical University met with our University’s authorities on Oct. 31st, 2017, to discuss the details of future cooperation. Plans include  academic exchanges of lecturers, researchers, students and doctoral students, research cooperation, the organization of workshops and, the sharing of scientific data, publications and information.

The meeting took place in the Rectorate of our University. Members of the China Pharmaceutical University delegation included Prof. Hui Xu, Chairman of the University’s Council and Head of the delegation; Prof. Haiping Hao, Dean of the School of Pharmacy; Prof. Yong Fa Chen from the School of International Pharmaceutical Business; Prof. Xiaoyuan Xu, Director of the Office of International Exchange & Cooperation; and, Mr. Mingming Qiu, Chief of the Section of International Students. Representing our University was Prof. Krzysztof J. Filipiak, Deputy Rector for International Relations, Development and Promotion and representing the Faculty of Pharmacy were Vice Deans Prof. Grażyna Nowicka, Ms. Joanna Kolmas, PharmD, PhD and Mr. Piotr Luliński, PharmD, PhD. Also present was Ms. Lidia Przepióra-Dziewulska, MA, Head of the International Relations Office.  Prior to this meeting, the delegation visited the Faculty of Pharmacy and Laboratory Medicine Division.

Prof. Xiaoyuan Xu gave a presentation about the China Pharmaceutical University, its educational programs and research developments in pharmacy. Mr. Piotr Luliński, PharmD, PhD, Vice Dean for International Relations and Development at the Faculty of the Pharmacy reciprocated with a presentation about the Medical University of Warsaw.

It was agreed that the best form of cooperation would be joint research in pharmacognosy and phytochemistry, as well as, in biochemistry and nanotechnology. The outcomes could be then shared through visiting lecturers and joint publications of doctoral dissertations.  To this end, the universities plan to sign a bilateral agreement.
